Aesthetic consultation

Facial and smile analysis

Digital preview and mock up
A projected outcome is shown before any tooth preparation. A physical wax mock up may be created so you can evaluate shape, length, and proportion in person before committing.
Material and shade selection
Veneer material, thickness, and shade are selected based on your clinical situation and aesthetic goals, with input from our ceramist where relevant.
Review and approval
No preparation begins until you have reviewed the design, asked all your questions, and given informed consent. We do not move forward until the plan is agreed upon.

before we begin
Before any tooth preparation takes place, we use digital imaging and physical mock ups to show you what your veneers will look like. This is not a vague approximation. It is a detailed preview of the shape, length, and proportion being designed for your case.
The mock up phase is where you provide feedback. If the proposed length feels too long, we adjust. If you want to see a slightly different shape, we revise. The final design is agreed upon before anything irreversible happens.
We do not move forward without your clear approval of the plan.
Preparation, temporaries,
and final placement
Most veneer cases are completed across three distinct appointments. Each phase has a specific purpose, and none is rushed.
Preparation appointment
1 to 2 hoursA thin layer of enamel is gently removed from the front surface of each tooth to accommodate the veneer. Local anesthetic is used. Temporary veneers are placed the same day.
Temporaries period
1 to 3 weeksWhile your final veneers are being crafted by the dental laboratory, temporary restorations protect your prepared teeth and give you a chance to evaluate length and shape in daily life.
Final bonding appointment
1 to 2 hoursEach veneer is tried in, evaluated for fit and shade, and bonded in place. Minor refinements to shape, bite, and surface texture are made at this appointment.
